I’m an Mres/PhD Student in Political Theory in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science. My current research explores the politics and history of the climate and nature crises, as well as their treatment in the history of political thought. My research into this theme spans the fields of political theory, environmental history and philosophy. I also have a standing interests in the history of economic thought, political economy, social ontology and the history of philosophy, especially classical German philosophy.

I’ve previously worked as a teacher, translator and at the European Parliament in Brussels. I grew up in Helsinki, Finland, but I’ve also lived in Vienna, Brussels and spent the first years of my life in Singapore.
In my free time I enjoy running, learning languages and reading literature. I already speak Finnish, English, German and some Swedish, and I also have a rudimentary command of French, Russian and Latin (in order of competence). I am currently learning Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
My favourites in literature include Herman Melville, Thomas Bernhard, Fyodor Dostoyevski, Eeva-Liisa Manner, Volter Kilpi and László Krasznahorkai.
My first book, Palavan Maailman Politiikka (with Amos Wallgren), is out with Into Kustannus in May 2026.
